Douglas Isenberg, Esq.

Doug graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida before earning his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law.  Doug is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and has practiced exclusively family law in South Florida for 28 years.

Doug is well respected among fellow lawyers, Judges and other members of the legal community as one of Miami's elite family law attorneys.  Throughout his lengthy career in family law practice, Doug has zealously represented both women and men in resolving a wide variety of family law matters.  In addition to divorce, Doug has represented unmarried Mothers and Fathers in Paternity and Child Support matters.  Doug has helped clients both obtain and defend restraining orders.  Doug has represented high profile clients, litigated high net worth divorces and divorces involving cutting edge issues such as the disposition of frozen embryos.  Doug is often appointed by Judges and General Magistrates to act as Guardian ad Litem in cases involving the potential abuse or neglect of children of all ages.  He has assisted parents in the dependency system with keeping custody of their children.  Doug is also an experienced mediator who has helped many couples resolve their cases through the mediation process.

Doug respresents clients in many jurisdictions across the State of Florida.  Doug founded the Isenberg Family Law Group with the goal to provide more individuals throughout the State of Florida effective representation from experienced family law attorneys state-wide.

Erica Whittler miami law
Erica Whittler, Esq.

Erica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art from the University of Michigan and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.  Erica is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the American Bar Association, and Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar.

 

Erica received a post-graduate fellowship from the University of Miami School of Law Legal Corps to work for HELP, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization.  After completing the fellowship, Erica was promoted to Senior Attorney and Deputy Director of HELP, Inc., a position she held from July 2011 through July 2014.  Erica also provided legal representation for No More Tears, where she represented victims of domestic violence and human trafficking in domestic violence, divorce and paternity matters.  The Women's Fund of Miami-Dade made Erica a 2014-2015 grantee partner for her work with HELP, Inc. and No More Tears.  Erica currently sits on the Founding Board of Suits, Stillettoes and Lipstick Miami Community.

 

Erica has practiced exclusively family law since February 2014, and is thrilled to join the Isenberg Family Law Group.
